It prompted Kevin Kelly to announce the Shirky Principle – complex solutions can become so dedicated to the problem they are the solution to, that often they inadvertently perpetuate the problem

Advanced baseball stats may not be to everyone’s taste, but it shows the power and beauty of numbers.
